The Premier Diamond Products DP16404 P5-VBHS is a premium 44mm vacuum brazed diamond hole saw designed for fast, accurate drilling across a wide variety of materials, with particularly strong performance when drilling porcelain wall and floor tiles.

The P5-VBHS features a cutting rim of high-quality, fully exposed diamonds vacuum brazed directly to the leading edge. This strong bonding process provides increased durability, fast drilling and excellent versatility across demanding materials. Premier lists the DP16404 at 44mm diameter with a 45mm working length.

Its multi-purpose design allows it to drill not only porcelain and ceramic tiles but also granite, marble, quartz, natural stone, cement fibre board, plastics, composites and selected building materials. The range is suitable for use with both corded and cordless drills.

USAGE ADVICE

Use the supplied pilot drill to help establish an accurate starting position. When drilling porcelain, Premier recommends first creating a 6mm pilot hole with a diamond tile drill. Avoid applying excessive pressure and allow the machine and diamond cutting edge to perform the work.

Premier recommends operating the hole saw between 800 and 2000rpm, using a slower speed on harder tiles and a faster speed on softer materials. A slight oscillating motion can also improve drilling speed in some materials.
